Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We charge either per person, or per platter depending on what works best for the customer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first step is menu consultation. Once the budget is decided we propose a menu based on event type, time and the customer's specifications. After the menu is selected, the date is reserved and the fun begins.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our Executive Chef has a degree in Culinary Arts and has worked for the past 15 years throughout DC fine tuning his skills and finding wonderful, skilled people to work with.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We just love what we do.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with all customer types.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A customer called 6 hours before her dinner. She was upset because her previous caterer bailed at the last minute. I gathered my ingredients and went to her location. It was wonderful to save a failed dinner, on the customer's birthday. I also gave them a little extra, by holding a cooking class for the 8 ladies. Turned out to be a wonderful time not only for the customer and her guest, but for me as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Go with what feels right. Finding a caterer that can cook is easy. What's important is finding the right fit. Someone you can work with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Any and everything.
