Introduction

People often say the magic I perform looks and feels like real magic. Its more interactive and believable. Bringing joy, wonder and mystery into peoples lives and seeing their faces lighting up. Magic is the art I love and it shows in my performances. I love what I do so most people naturally do as well.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Package deals can be made to suit most budgets and needs. Message or call for more details. There are rates for walk around close up magic and for shows. Basic-cheaper shows and deluxe-more expensive shows. Some dates are prime dates and are my busiest days of the year and thus I must charge more during those times. Those times are primarily some dates around the holidays.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Qualifying myself and my skills. Then figuring out the vision for your event, figuring out the budget and the package that suits your individual needs. Figuring out the date and time and sequence of events that works best for you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I've been reading books and watching videos that other magicians sell, and attending magic lectures of famous magicians now for over 25 years and still learning every day! Magic is an endless art. I'm always learning new magic and ways to present it. I've also studied privately, & extensively over two years with Jeff McBride, one of the world's best magicians.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
When I was young I was always fascinated by magic and magicians. My parents decided to get a magic set for me for my birthday along with a magicIan who I thought was very good but he wasn't he was totally drunk... Long story, but I've been into magic since I was a little boy. Over 25 years. 10 years learning, practicing and performing for family and friends, 5 years semi professional, and over 10 years now full time professional. I have also studied with a few of the finest magicians in the country.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Corporate, small business, employee/customer appreciation, trade show booths, business meetings, carnivals/festivals/fairs, restaurants, night clubs, comedy clubs, country clubs, clubhouses, open houses, resorts, rv parks, birthdays from ages 1-100, wedding receptions and anniversaries, engagement events, baby showers, retirement parties, block parties, re-unions, fundraisers, variety shows, Quinciñeras, bar/batmitzvahs, proms/graduation events, pep rallies, casinos, schools, theatres, libraries, bowling allies, ice skating arenas, sporting events, food and beverage managers, event planners, business owners of all kinds looking to see how to market their product or service or bring visibility or traffic to their business or booth with a skilled and flashy magician.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Performing at Rick Bronsons House of Comedy at 5350 E. High St. Suite 105, Phoenix AZ, 85054 doing walk around magic in a comedy club type of environment for a couple of hours most Fridays or Saturdays 6pm-10pm unless I'm at another event.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask to see a video or live demo or their work. 3 references or a letter of recommendation. I'm working on new video demos which will be added to my profile and my website soon but as for now you'd have to see a live demo. To see a live demo of me and my magic, I can either meet you somewhere close to you at a Starbucks, or you can come see me most Friday and Saturday nights at Rick Bronsons House of Comedy in Phoenix. Come in, sit at the bar and see what I can do in person. Call or message me or check my calendar on my website first to see if I'll be there the night you'd like to see some of my work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is your ideal time and date for your event? How much budget do you have for entertainment? What is your vision, theme, ideal scenario for your event that you'd like to see happen? Do you want people to be laughing, dancing, eating, drinking, jaws dropping over impressive magic? Do you want your event to be memorable and exciting? Will the entertainment be for everyone at the event, or only for the adults or only for the kids? How many people will be at your event...all at once or through the evening? Do you want the comedy in the performance to be clean and family appropriate or do you want it to be a little loose and spiced up a bit for an adult only audience? Do you want a magician walking around your event engaging your guests in small to large groups or even 1 on 1? Or do you want a show where everyone watches at the same time? Or both a magic show and walk around/close up magic?
