What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

As a professional entertainer I consider your budget for your event of equal importance to my reputation as a performer. I do my best to work within each person’s needs by avoiding “one size fits all” magic shows and by providing the highest level of professional entertainment available.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to be involved in the more significant occasions of other people’s lives as a professional entertainer. I do my best to assure the customer that the success of their event is of paramount importance to me by placing their personal needs above “my show” through considerable planning and uniquely tailored performances that highlight your event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 20 years of presentation and public speaking experience that has given me the ability to engage others as a “mixer” and “connector.” Coupled with a passion to present magic as an art form which incorporates both mystery and beauty I consider my role as a professional entertainer less about work and much more as an opportunity for self expression and personal connection with others.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

What began as a hobby quickly developed into a profession as a mystery entertainer and close up magician. My personal desire to connect with the greater public through self expression as a performing artist, as well as the opportunity to connect others with the experience of mystery and human wonder, has become a means of sharing the more significant events and occasions of people’s lives.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a wide variety of customers in various settings and each and every one of them has become a part of my own journey as a person who desires the “real magic” of making life long memories and acquaintances with others around a common experience of mystery and human wonder. In short, I view myself as a Jester who plays in the court of royalty, and performs at the pleasure of an audience, who I serve to entertain and delight through the art of magic and mystery. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently won First Place for the 2018 People’s Choice Award for Stand Up Magic in Roseville Ca sponsored by the two longest standing organizations available to performing magicians on both a national and international level. This honor came during my first year as a professional entertainer.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There are many performers who do tricks and shows for hire but in the end it will be “your reputation” and “your event” as a client that deserves the greatest consideration. I personally and carefully take into account each venue and setting doing my best to accommodate my talents and abilities to the needs and wishes of the customer to make YOUR SHOW the most successful and memorable occasion possible.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Aside from knowing how skilled and experienced a performing magician may be, the customer should also consider the heart and persona of the entertainer involved, remembering it’s not just “what” a professional provides, but “how” they present it. Performing magic is about “connection” not just “deception.”
