Introduction

Amaryllis Duo is an elegant, professional flute and cello ensemble. We play classical music and also jazz standards. We're experienced and professional, having played together for 20 years. We're reliable, punctual and respectful.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

If the event is local to Nevada County, our fee is $150 for one hour + 75 each additional hour. Travel fee may apply if the event is more than 30 minutes travel.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Connection first by email, text or phone. After we've agreed on date, time, location and fee, I'll send you an agreement which we both sign.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Nora Nausbaum, that's me - I have a Masters degree from New England Conservatory of Music and have been playing and performing for many many decades. Arthur Gould, my cellist friend, has also been playing and performing many many years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We both learned our instruments as children.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We worked with individuals, corporate party planners, wedding planners, restaurant and tavern owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We were hired by an assisted living facility to play for a celebration party. The residents seemed to really enjoy our music and we love that interaction.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Listen to the group online. Talk in person to get a feel for who you are potentially hiring.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If the event is outside, will there be shade? If amplification is needed (as it often is outside), is there an electrical outlet nearby?
