Introduction

I firmly believe you should do magic because you truly love it. This is underlying philosophy of what I do, and it's this love that pushes me to do the very best that I can for each and every performance. Magic isn't my sole income, but I believe that by not being tied down by finances, I am able to provide a magical experience where the passion can be felt by the audience. Magic is something that I love, and it's this love that creates an extremely memorable experience for my audiences.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to keep things simple. I just need to know a few details about the event and what you had in mind. The main details that I'm need are just: location, type of venue, and number of guests. This allows me to figure out what type of magic performance would be best, as well as provide a quote for my rate for the event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been studying, practicing, and performing magic for the past 10 years, allowing me to hone my craft and create a high quality, memorable experience. In order to provide a high quality performance, you have to performance experience, and I have been fortunate enough to develop my skills over the years.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently MC'd (hosted) an private show, introducing guests and filling time while each act prepared behind the curtain. It's a type of performance that I hadn't really done before, but it was something that helped me grow as a performer by being exposed to other types of environments.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
If you are hiring a magician, try as best as you can to not have the magic overlap with a meal! This may sound odd at first, but magic requires audience engagement, and from my experience, when magic is performed while people are eating, people's attention is usually more directed towards the food (and I blame them!). To make sure that the you get the most out of the magician you hire, have them perform while people are socializing or plan a designated time.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about what type of performance you would want. By that I mean: Do you want a show, where everyone watches the magician at once? Or would you like the magician to mingle with the crowd, performing smaller shows for smaller groups. Each have their different pros, and which performance to have all depends on the event. Of course the magician can help you make that decision, but if you already have an idea, all the better.
