What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our fees are always reasonable, but do vary depending on several factors (date, timing, event duration, location etc…) Please contact us so we can begin a conversation to help you determine how we can best serve your needs and requirements.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We have an intake form here on Thumbtack and also on our website which aims at clarifying what you are looking for in terms of music for your event. A typical set length is approximately 60 minutes. We can extend sets (per request) to as long as 90 minutes. We'll also work with you to play selections that are important ot you or family members if it's for a special event like a wedding or birthday party etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Decades of experience playing music at every type of event imaginable - weddings, parties, fund raisers, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, club dates, etc.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Most of us started when we were young kids participating in public school music programs. We got the bug and never looked back!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Club owners, event planners, non-profit organizations, Brides/Grooms, parent of said Brides/Grooms, etc. Mainly... nice people who enjoy and value live music performed by equally nice (and experienced!) musicians.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We completed a CD project a few years ago that we're very proud of. It's a collection of live performances at three Bay Area venues. You can hear the audio tracks on our website.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

That experience matters. We're a band of seasoned professionals which is evident when you hear us play and see us interact on and off the stage. Also... to remember there's nothing more memorable than a band of talented, fun, entertaining musicians playing live music with real instruments!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1) Where will the location of the event? 2) Will the band be playing inside? Outside? 3) Will you want the band to play in more than one location? Sometimes this is called for during weddings especially (ceremony ==> reception) 4) What will be the timing of the music? Start/end time, breaks, speeches, etc. 5) If it's a fairly long engagement, will you be able to feed the band? You don't want the sax playing to get Hangry! ;) 6) Is the event formal? Semi-formal? Casual? 7) Will there be electrical outlets available? 8) Do you have any special song requests?
