What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When you contact John about your event, he will respond as quickly as possible to set up a phone call. This is so that he can learn more details about your event, you can learn more about him, and we can see if it's a fit. John is always happy to answer any questions, provide help, and make sure your event is as successful as it possibly can be. John specializes in close-up card magic. Strolling magic is where John is mingling with your guests, entertaining everyone with close-up magic that happens in their hands. All of John's performances combine expert-level sleight of hand, lots of humor, and mind-bending magic that your guests will NEVER forget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

John has been practicing, performing, and creating magic for over 15 years. He has performed in front of hundreds of audiences at public and private events. He is a regular performer at venues across Hollywood, including Black Rabbit Rose, MainRó, and the Magic Castle.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, John's journey began by chance with a magic set his parents gave him for Christmas. What started as a childhood hobby has since become a full-time career, and a lifetime passion.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All kinds! John has worked with individuals, businesses, and nonprofits. He regularly performs at corporate parties, nonprofit galas, weddings, birthdays, holiday parties, and more.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The internet provides a wide variety of magicians and entertainers for hire, but not all are created equal. When choosing an entertainer for your event, be sure to take into account their photos, videos, and online reviews from past clients. Most importantly, consider how quick and thorough they are with their communication. Get them on the phone so that you can learn more about them and get to know their personality. Do you feel confident that they will make your event a success? Ultimately, if you feel comfortable with someone, go with your gut.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is helpful to have as much information about your event as possible, such as the date, location, and approximate guest count. You may be completely new to hiring a magician, and unaware of how many services they can offer. A good professional magician will take the time to ask MANY questions about your event so that they can fully understand your needs and vision. Based on this, they can suggest entertainment options to fit.
