Hi! My name is Maria Semes and I am a violin and viola teacher in the Baltimore/DC area. I can provide music for your event. Reasons to hire me: I am a tenured member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I received my Bachelor and Master’s of Music from The Juilliard School in NYC. I have 15+ years of teaching experience of all ages and levels. I have 15+ years of music entertainment experience from performing at events in NYC. I can perform string quartets, string trios or string duos, or solo violin at your event.

I've been performing in the DC-Metro area since I graduated from music school over 15 years ago, and have built up a huge song list for any occasion! My biggest strengths have always been Pop, Country, Oldies and 80's and 90's and Jazz Standards (Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc.) ... and even Italian Songs and - of course - my original songs! I can instantly read a room a play what's appropriate for any crowd at any event.
