What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing reflects not just the time I spend at your event, but the quality, preparation, and professionalism I bring to every job.
Here’s what you should know:
1. Packages Are Customized
Every event is different. I offer flexible packages for DJ services, photobooth services, or both—tailored to your event size, duration, and specific needs.
2. Transparent and Fair
No hidden fees. I’ll give you a clear breakdown of what’s included: setup, travel, equipment, props, lighting, extra hours, etc. If something changes, I’ll keep you informed.
3. You’re Paying for More Than Just “Play Music” or “Take Pictures”
You’re hiring someone who comes prepared with professional gear, backup equipment, custom playlists, photobooth design, and years of experience reading the crowd and keeping the energy right.
4. Payment Plans Are Available
To make it easier, I offer payment plans for clients who book ahead. A deposit secures your date, and the balance is usually due before or on the event day.
5. Quality Over “Cheapest”
I might not be the cheapest option, but I focus on giving you peace of mind, a great vibe, and unforgettable memories. And to me—that’s worth it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe great service starts with clear communication and a personal touch. Here’s how I usually work with new clients:
1. Initial Contact & Discovery
We start with a quick chat—by phone, email, or message—to understand your event type, date, location, and the vibe you’re going for.
2. Consultation & Custom Quote
Once I know what you need (DJ, photobooth, or both), I’ll offer a custom package and quote based on your event size, duration, and any add-ons like lighting or custom photo templates.
3. Booking & Deposit
If you’re ready to lock it in, I’ll send a simple contract and request a deposit to secure your date.
4. Planning the Details
We’ll go over music preferences, do-not-play lists, your event timeline, and photobooth customization (if needed). I’ll work with you or your planner to make sure everything flows smoothly.
5. Event Day Setup & Execution
I arrive early to set up and test everything. During the event, I manage the music and photobooth so you can focus on enjoying your day.
6. Follow-Up
After the event, I’ll share any digital photobooth photos and check in to make sure you were satisfied with the service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Customer service While I didn’t go the traditional route of music school, my education came from hands-on experience, self-study, and constant practice. I started DJing in 2020 and have since spent countless hours learning the craft—everything from mixing techniques and crowd control to audio equipment setup and troubleshooting.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
all began with my love for music and making people feel good. I started DJing in 2020, mainly at small house parties with just a pair of studio monitors. I didn’t plan on doing events in lounges or halls—but once people saw how much energy and passion I brought, word started spreading.
As my gigs grew, I realized I could offer more than just music. That’s when I added a photobooth service to my setup. I wanted guests to not only enjoy the sound but also capture memories in a fun, interactive way. It started small, but with time, I invested in better equipment, learned more about crowd engagement, and built a full experience that people now trust for weddings, birthdays, and other special events.
Now, it’s not just about playing songs or snapping pictures—it’s about creating a moment people won’t forget.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients, each with their own unique style and celebration goals. Some of the main types include:
1. Private Clients
From baby showers and birthday parties to weddings and graduation celebrations, I’ve worked with individuals and families looking to create unforgettable, personal events.
2. Corporate Clients
I’ve handled music and photobooth services for corporate mixers, office holiday parties, team-building events, and brand activations—providing a fun, professional atmosphere.
3. Cultural Celebrations
I specialize in curating music for multicultural events, especially African and African-American functions. Whether it’s Afrobeats, old-school R&B, or Caribbean vibes—I know how to keep the energy on point.
4. Event Planners & Coordinators
I’ve partnered with professional event planners who trust me to handle entertainment and guest engagement with little oversight.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our favorite recent events was an African-American baby shower held at a local hall. We provided both DJ and photobooth services, and it was a vibe from start to finish!
We curated a custom playlist of over 200 songs, blending Afrobeats, R&B, old-school jams, and party classics that had guests dancing the entire afternoon. The photobooth setup featured a personalized backdrop, fun baby-themed props, and instant digital sharing.
From planning to execution, this project took about two weeks—we worked closely with the client to understand their vision, design the photo template, finalize the music vibe, and prepare logistics. On event day, setup took about 2 hours, and everything ran smoothly.
The client was thrilled, and seeing the guests have such a good time was incredibly rewarding. It reminded us why we love what we do!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When you’re planning an event, the vibe matters. Music sets the tone, and photos capture the memories. Here’s my advice:
1. Don’t just go for the cheapest option – You get what you pay for. A reliable DJ and photobooth provider brings experience, quality equipment, and professionalism. That makes all the difference on your big day.
2. Ask about experience with your type of event – Every event is different. Whether it’s a wedding, baby shower, or birthday party, make sure your provider understands the flow and expectations of your type of event.
3. Make sure the vibe matches yours – Talk to your DJ before booking. Share your music tastes, cultural background, or special requests. A good DJ will listen and adapt.
4. Check what’s included – Some DJs or photobooth services might quote low but charge extra for things like lights, props, or setup time. Always get a full breakdown.
5. Read reviews or ask for samples – Look at past work. If they have event photos, a sample mix, or testimonials—take a minute to check them out.
