What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Ulloa Magic Productions offers flexible pricing tailored to the specific needs and scope of each event. Here are key points customers should know about pricing:
Custom Quotes: Pricing varies based on the type of service, event duration, location, and audience size. Every event is unique, and quotes are customized accordingly.
Packages Available: For recurring or multiple bookings, we offer discounted package deals, especially for schools, educational programs, and corporate events.
Travel Fees: Additional fees may apply for events outside of a certain radius from our base location. These fees cover transportation and potential accommodation needs.
Deposit Requirement: A deposit is required to secure your booking, typically around 25-50% of the total fee, depending on the scale of the event.
Final Payment: Full payment is due on the day of the event or before, depending on the agreement. We accept various payment methods for your convenience.
Cancellation Policy: We offer flexible cancellation policies, with refunds available if notice is given within a specified period prior to the event. Last-minute cancellations may incur a fee.
Special Discounts: Discounts are sometimes available for nonprofit organizations, schools, and repeat clients. Seasonal promotions might also be offered during holidays or special events.
We encourage potential clients to contact us for a detailed quote based on their specific needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Ulloa Magic Productions, our process with new customers is smooth and collaborative. First, we conduct an initial consultation to understand event details, such as date, type, audience size, and specific requests. Afterward, we create a tailored proposal, including pricing and service options, based on the client's needs. Once the proposal is approved, we finalize a contract and secure the booking with a deposit (typically 25-50%).
In the lead-up to the event, we work closely with the client to confirm all logistics and handle any special requests or customizations. On the day of the event, our team arrives early to set up and ensure everything runs smoothly. After the event, we follow up with the client to gather feedback, settle final payments, and discuss potential future collaborations.
Our goal is to ensure each client has a stress-free, magical experience from start to finish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Ulloa Magic Productions, our expertise is built on over 20 years of dedication to the art of magic. We have trained extensively in various forms of magic, including close-up, parlor, and stage illusions, developing the technical skills and performance techniques that captivate audiences. Our education goes beyond practice, involving mentorships from seasoned professionals in the magic industry, participation in magic conventions, and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends.
Additionally, we have experience in educational programming through our Discovery Magic Program, tailored for schools, which helps blend entertainment with learning. This combination of formal training, hands-on experience, and continuous learning has allowed us to create engaging, high-quality performances for diverse audiences. Our commitment to refining our craft ensures that every performance is polished, professional, and memorable for clients.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey into magic began over 35 years ago, sparked by a deep fascination with illusion and performance at a young age. Like many magicians, I started with simple card tricks and close-up magic, practicing tirelessly and performing for friends and family. As my skills grew, so did my passion for creating moments of wonder and surprise. I immersed myself in learning from master magicians, attending workshops, conventions, and seeking out mentorship from experienced professionals.
As I gained confidence, I began performing at small local events and private gatherings, and my reputation steadily grew. Eventually, this led to founding Ulloa Magic Productions, where I could combine my love for magic with my entrepreneurial spirit. Over time, we expanded our services, creating unique experiences for a wide range of audiences, from children’s celebrations to corporate events. The joy of bringing magic to people's lives continues to inspire me in every performance

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project I'm particularly fond of is the holiday party we're preparing for Carol in Fort Myers this December. It's a special event featuring close-up and walking-around magic for 50-99 guests over three hours. We’ve worked closely with Carol to design an engaging and interactive experience, ensuring the magic complements the festive atmosphere.
The project has involved several weeks of planning, from discussing the client’s vision to customizing tricks that will resonate with the audience. We’re in the final stages now, and I’m excited to see it come to life. This kind of collaboration, where we tailor the performance to create memorable moments, is always rewarding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a magician or entertainment provider, look for experience and versatility. Check reviews, portfolios, or videos to see if their performance style fits your event's vibe and audience. Ensure they can adapt to different event types—whether it’s a corporate gathering, private party, or educational setting.
Communication is key. Choose someone who listens to your needs and is willing to customize their services. Ask about logistics, including setup, timing, and any special requirements.
Lastly, discuss pricing and contracts upfront to avoid surprises. A professional provider will be transparent about costs, deposits, and cancellation policies. Hiring someone with a strong reputation and a customer-first approach ensures a seamless and magical experience.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before speaking with a professional, customers should consider these key questions:
Event Details: What is the date, time, and location of the event? How many guests will attend, and what is the age range?
Type of Performance: Do you want close-up magic, a stage show, or walk-around performances? Should the show be tailored to a specific theme?
Budget: What is your budget for entertainment? Are there any flexibility or package options you’d like to explore?
Event Schedule: How long do you want the performance to last, and how does it fit into the overall event timeline?
Special Requests: Do you have any specific elements, such as personalized tricks or messaging, you want incorporated?
Having clarity on these questions will help professionals provide a more accurate and tailored proposal for your event.
