Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing depends on the gig and whether the client wants a solo, duo or full band.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I generally like to get an idea for what the clients looking for in terms of music and liveliness. I.e. what kind of crowd, age, size.. Do you just want background music or a live band?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Over 10 years of professionally playing. Studied at Berklee College of Music. 5 years + of doing Live sound and studio engineering. Snacks also had a music video debut on MTV.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Being brought up from a musical family, all of us had a burning desire to play and perform to not only entertain but to inspire others. Snacks (rhythm guitar & vocals) started the project a few years back, eventually picking up Deni (bass and vocals) along the way with his incredible accordion skills. Jair (drums) is Snack's nephew who's been playing for a long time as well and he joined the project a year later thus making this band a 3 piece power house of musical tastiness!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've played many venues, weddings, birthday parties, private parties, private events, bars & grills, flea markets, veteran lodges, community centers, etc, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A client asked us to play their wedding, and they sent us a list of specific songs to play (songs we had never heard nor played before) haha. But with less than two weeks rehearsal, we played for the bride and groom's first dance, kept people on the floor and soon became a part of the most memorable night for that couple!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Know your budget and remember you're hiring a professional.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do you have the budget? Where is the power source? Is the event outside, inside? If outside, is there an awning? The amount of people attending? Time of day? Length of performance? Specific song requests? Dress code? etc.
