What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We are commissioned to cover your event and treat it as if it were our own. From the first consultation to the end of the event, we want to capture all of the important details and the overall atmosphere of your event. We begin with an initial consultation, planning, 30 day follow up, 2 week follow up, and then final consultation to review what was planned for day of execution. We are there every step of the way.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All of our photographers are well trained, with more than 20 years combined experience. Our photo booth attendants have extensive training on the operations of the photo booth. Our DJ's have at least 10 years experience in all types of events from weddings and sweet 16 parties to corporate events.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Simply Events began 10 years ago, after I was married. I planned everything myself and saw how difficult it was to sift through the information from bridal shows to personal references from family and friends. It was very overwhelming. I thought why isn't there a place locally where I can get almost everything I need, from DJ entertainment to my event planner at a reasonable price.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with customers that have done all the planning and just needed one service to clients that needed full service (DJ, photographer, photo booth, lighting, and event planner).

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent event that we did was a wedding. The bride and groom already had a wedding planner so they went with our photography, DJ (w/uplights), and photo booth package. It took us about 2 hours to setup, but in the end it was beautiful.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that you take time to speak with the provider to see what packages they offer. Also, a picture is worth a thousand words. Just seeing a few samples should tell you what you need to know.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What is my budget? Do you have your heart set on a certain date? What style of photos do I want? What kind of services do I need (more than one)? Can I get them with one pro? How many guest do I have? Do I want my event indoors or outdoors and how will that effect my vendors?
