What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our Pricing is a Fixed Flat Rate which includes up to 4 hours of Live Music. So whether you are looking for 2 hours or 4 hours, our rate is flat. Included in Our Flat Rate: Up to 4 hours of Live Music Free-Setup & Breakdown Time Unlimited Contact Access to Song List Sound, Sound Engineer & Up Lighting Travel to and from Venue up to 50 miles from Boston.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First thing is to introduce and get to know the customer, What is the event they are having and why are they looking to book live music? Then, Get to know their party and their guest personality, Are you looking for upbeat dance and get the crowd going? or Laid back Lounge for your guests to enjoy. After we get to know each other and the event they are having, we ask for a 30% deposit to secure the date, the remainder is due 1 week prior to event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Malayna Knox, Lead Vocalist and Booking agent for Vox Dance band is also the owner of MK Entertainment in which is the representation for Vox Dance Band, She has over 10 years experience in the music industry and holds a degree in Music Business. Each member of the Band also as over 10+years experience as a performer and musician in the industry and has travelled to perform in many states and countries as well as worked beside some well-known names in the industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Malayna (Lead Vocalist & Booking Agent) has performed for many years, All members of the band have also been performing for many years with different wedding bands and worked alongside well-known names in the industry. VOX Band started when Malayna wanted to take the reins as a lead vocalist and not just being the piano, She had already worked with the drummer and bass player and worked to find the perfect fit for guitarist and Keys player. When you work with other professional musicians, everything just clicks into place like the group has been playing together for years and that's exactly what they did!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Clients hosting Private Parties, Events, Corporate Annual Events, Wedding Couples, Event & Wedding Planners/Coordinators.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Every year we do a block party in Boston for Halloween. This client puts together a huge party with over 200 people, costumes, lighting, food trucks the whole nine yards and we play a mix of Top 40 Pop/Rock songs that everyone knows as well as some favorite Halloween hits like Ghost Busters and Thriller. This event starts getting planned 6 months out, but we start prepping for this about 2 months out. It is always a blast and we love doing it! A great way to end the busy season!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We also bring the utmost professional and Top quality music for every event. We will always arrive plenty early to allow much time for set up, will have constant communication with you to ensure all details are met before the event.

Have as much information about the event your having as possible such as Location, Date & Time of Event, Type of Event your having, Any Budget specifics, Indoor/Outdoor, Your Contact information and most importantly, If you are ready to book right now or just looking around. This will help us help you as we have a busy schedule and want to make sure we are helping you lock everything in needed and answering every question you have!
