I can provide uplighting for your event and never charge extra for MC'ing, dance lights or foam sticks. Sorry, I do not perform at any outdoor venues/events, bar or bat mitzvah's. Prices depends on factors such as length of the event, location of the event, and services you want. I will set up a video meeting so we can meet each other, talk about your event and then come up with a price. Because this is part-time for me, I can keep my prices low and have a lot of open dates. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Every event brings its own unique dynamic that constitutes the pricing. Every attempt to adhere to a customer request is made, and I never make promises I can't keep. Travel time and the extra time needed to set up and break down the equipment may be added to the estimate you see for the event. Also, since this is not my full-time job, I can afford to keep my prices low.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After a few messages back and forth, I like to set up a video conference call to go through the process and talk about the event. I lay out all the pricing in advance so there are no hidden fee's later. My customers are never kept in the dark and during the event, I do not consume any alcohol.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have owned my own DJ business since 2018. I have been DJ'ing parties for 20 years. My library has 750,000 songs, my music is clean, and my guests are encouraged to contribute to the set list.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began working for a pageant company in 2003 and became the sound engineer a short time after. I have a full-time job, so being a DJ is my hobby. My favorite part of the job is meeting people and having a good time with the guests.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have DJ'd weddings, company parties, and Jack-n-Jills. I do not perform at bar or bat mitzvah's.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Each event is special to me. The people I meet have an incredible dynamic and there's always something new happening at the event.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask for referrals, or contact the person leaving me the review. Most of my business is through word of mouth. Ask the DJ when the next show is and go see the person live.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Simply be honest and make sure you get everything you want. Make a list of your requirements and if the vendor wants your business, they should go the extra mile to make your event a success.
