With our DJ service, we come 2 hours early to set up, have a wide range of family oriented music, do not drink while on the clock, assists with creating a timeline, formalities and a signed contract to ensure everything runs properly, smoothly and to your liking. Extra options can be provided for an added cost. With 15 years of experience and many options to choose from, DJ Steel Millz creates a good atmosphere by having a friendly decor with a professional attitude. A crowd should want to be on the dance floor and have a fun time without dealing with a pushy dj. Guide people to the dance floor with music and interaction, even if a person can not dance well (or need a convincing drink to come out and dance, haha). We have always enjoyed music of many genres, from 1920' to today, country to hiphop, New York to China, Mexico to Canada. Music has the power to touch our souls in many ways. By watching the crowd move in unison to a line dance, or tap their feet in their chair and just dance on on the floor, we know they enjoy what we do. Along side music, being able to direct an event entirely by using the timeline and requested formalities shares an amazing sense of responsibility and enjoyment of listening to good music. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Weddings start at $550 and birthdays, graduations, holidays and corporate functions start at $350 for 3 hours. Optional equipment can be provided for additional costs. Travel fees may apply for extended travel of $150 for venues 1.5 hours away and $200 for 2.5 hours away.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Steel Millz Entertainment like to keep in contact with clients and be able to meet one on one at least once to go over initial details in person and give the client a chance to get a feel for me as their DJ. A contract will be signed by both parties and a deposit will be made to secure a date. We discuss a quick timeline and let the client know what information I need to help the event go smoothly. Business can be conducted by phone or email after our first meeting. I like to do a little bit of antics on the mic to loosen the mood and get people involved.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I try to keep up education on the equipment I use by attending expos and events in the area. Keeping up with trends and how to conduct business should always be considered.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I always enjoyed dancing. I would dance at any club from start to end and everyone would watch me from the seats. I always got compliments afterwards. Since I love all (most) music, I wanted to share it with other people.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I do various styles of weddings, fundraisers, military functions, corporate and holiday functions all play a part in my repertoire.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am fond of all events I am able to attend to and perform for. No one is better than the next.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

All DJ's play music and your guests have a listening preference (it wouldn't be a celebration without them). What does the DJ play and how does your DJ conduct themselves?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How do I want the evening to flow? What will my guests like in a musical sense? Any possible "Plan B's" in case something is to happen?
