Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Every event is different. So that I can best serve my client's needs I really hope to talk with them for at least a few minutes to understand better what they are looking for and to accomplish and if I can be the best fit for them.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Listening, often the customer is just thrown into the position of pulling all the necessary parts together to make the event flow well. I have done this for many years and I like to help with suggestions if they are asking. It's all about making the event awesome!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Multiple TV appearances, Several decades of traveling the World performing for audiences ranging in size from a few close up to over 18,000 during NBA halftime shows.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have loved and done magic since I was a little boy, started in close-up magic and somehow it leads to becoming the Best Living Escape Artist, go figure LOL.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My clients run the gamut from National TV Shows, IE America's Got Talent, Ripley's, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. to NBA halftime shows, large private corporation shows in venues ranging from the living room of a high-level executive to the largest stages in convention centers. I work a lot with schools to bring something unique that will resonate with the students as well as private shows in homes (house concerts)

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
The projects usually run about 45-60 mins. This latest one was in a large private home in PA overlooking gorgeous hills and woods. The family spanned several generations and while the adults were watching intently the kids too, a very little one kept walking up to me and pulling on my leg and asking questions, it was a hoot! I loved it. The crowd seemed to love the whole thing too.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't go for the cheapest, you will get what you pay for. The big question: are you looking for value or price? Too often the lowest price causes the biggest lost value for the event and other entertainers because of the low level of professionalism and borderline behavior.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What they want to accomplish and the practicality of it.
