Introduction

I can make your next special occasion unforgettable! My performance includes stunning magic, great comedy and a lot of audience participation. I have been performing across the country for over 15 years for corporate clients, colleges, and private events. Some of my past clients include IBM, JP Morgan Chase, and Facebook. Some of my local clients include Home Away, National Instruments, St. Edwards, and UT Austin. I am fully insured and a member of The International Brotherhood of magicians. I was also just recently named one of the best magicians in Central Texas! Feel free to check out Gigsalad, Yelp, and Google to see reviews from my past clients. If you would like, I do have a list of references of past clients. I want to thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you. All the best, Robert Tarry

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My price depends on several factors. Those include distance, how long the client would like me to perform and the size of the audience. I work with each of my clients to make sure that my price fits their budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first thing I do when working with a new customer is finding out exactly what they need. An event coordinator thinks live entertainment would be good for an event, and magic is unique and entertaining. That is great, but I work with the client to find out what they need beyond that. Do they want to gain the attention of potential clients? Do they want to make employees feel appreciated? I find out what the goal is, and I tailor my performance to meet that goal.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My educational background has helped make me the performer and communicator I am today. I have a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, and a MS in English. In addition, I am a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and Society of American Magicians.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began working as a magician at a very early age. When I first started, I performed for Rotary Clubs, schools, and private birthday parties.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My past clients include corporate clients, colleges, civic groups, and people hosting private parties. Some of my corporate clients include IBM, Ameriprise Financial Services, and Lord & Taylor. University of Texas (Austin), Columbia University, and Colgate University are just a few of the colleges I have performed for.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am very proud of a series of shows I just did to help promote literacy. Reading is an important life skill, and using magic, I was able to get young people excited about reading.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Planning special events can be a daunting task. You want someone with experience, a track record of success, and is able to meet your needs. Whether the event is a trade show, banquet, or conference, my performance always has a strong impact. Everyone has a great time, the planner of the event looks good, and the clients message gets across to the audience.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I think they should have a clear goal in mind. Are they seeking to just entertain an audience? Launch a new product? Bring awareness to a particular cause? Once they understand their main goal, then the should talk to professionals.
