Journey is a classically trained musician with over 30 years of experience - but these days, you’ll most often find Journey electrifying stages with her electric cello. She's studied at top conservatories and performed at major music festivals across the U.S., blending classical technique with modern flair. Whether it’s covers, originals, or genre-bending mashups, she loves pushing the boundaries of what the cello can do and bringing fresh energy to every performance.

Journey's path to the electric cello started as a creative spark - she wanted to take the rich, soulful sound of the traditional cello and amplify it (literally and figuratively). After years of classical training and acoustic performance, she was craving a new way to express music that felt more alive, more versatile, and more in sync with today’s energy. Plugging in opened up a whole new world for her - lending genres, layering loops, and adding effects to bring the cello into spaces it doesn’t usually go. What began as an experiment quickly became a passion, and now the electric cello is her main instrument for connecting with audiences in bold, dynamic ways.
