What We Do Letmemarryyou Wedding Services offers Wedding Planning; Officiating Wedding Ceremonies; Directing & Conducting Rehearsals; Assisting couples to Write their Wedding Vows or Writing Wedding Vows for them; Catering Receptions - Buffet Style; Assist with Honeymoon Planning. In addition, we do Civil Unions, Vow Renewals, and Elopements. Our prices start at $130 for Officiant Fees and .20/mile for travel outside of Tunica County, MS. We do offer Package Deals. We work with all types of couples and welcome LGBTQ couples. Our officiant serves agnostic and non-denominational couples, Orthodox Christian couples, Hindu couples, and couples of many other faiths. Types of Ceremonies We have an Ordained Minister that does Weddings and Funerals. We also have a Licensed Wedding Officiant and our goal is to help couples create the wedding ceremony of their dreams. We include many traditions, old or new. This includes Sand Ceremonies, Handfasting Cord Ceremonies, Jumping the Broom, Lighting Unity Candle, Stomping Glass, Planting Unity Tree, Love Letter Box, Gun Exchange Ceremony; some parts of Hindu fire ceremonies or Catholic Ceremony, and more. Couples can write their own vows for their religion, interfaith, or non-religious ceremony. This officiant does them all in addition to civil unions, vow renewals, and elopements.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Full Officiate Fee $110; Elopement Fee $85; $35 to attend rehearsal; .25/mile outside Tunica County, MS - Travel outside Tunica, MS area ; Catering average $25 per person (Buffet Style)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We consult with the couple to see exactly what they want in a wedding. Do we need to plan the entire wedding, pick out the venue for the wedding, plan the menu and catering service, order flowers, plan rehearsal and meal, write the vows, officiate, plan honeymoon? If the couple only needs an officiate, the officiate will meet with the couple a few minutes before the wedding to go over the wedding vows, etc...

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Together our team has been working since 2003 planning weddings. Our officiate is an Ordained Minister from the Universal Life Church Ministries. Minister Janice Ward is also a Doctor of Divinity. We now have Our Father's Light Ministry. Minister Janice and Sara travel, witnessing to anyone that is seeking the Light of God. He is the Light, we are the Lighthouse. In our work, we help Cancer Patients, Single Moms, Ill Senior Citizens, Children that don't have the family support needed, and Family Members that have lost a loved one recently. Some people need a helping hand to shop for their groceries or walk their dogs; we have taken many to doctors appointments, drive them home from surgery and offer post op care; prepared meals for children that may not have enough nutrition; taken children in to our home for as long as a week; taken seniors into our home for several months, keeping them out of nursing homes, as long as possible; and we have even pet set for the sick; and we help fill out medical forms or simple tax forms. Our Father's Light does not offer financial support, we live on a fixed income. However, there is always something a person can do, to help someone in need. Sometimes, it is just to listen and pray with them. Offer positive vibes where negativity may be the only thing they are holding on to. We pray for God to Hold On To Them!! July 1, 2019 Janice Ward was ordained in the American Marriage Ministries Organization.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

2003, was our first wedding, planned from beginning to end. Since them we have planned many weddings, for friends and family. In 2016 Janice Ward became an ordained minister, to perform a family member's wedding. The couple did not have a church or minister, so Janice performed their wedding, at their family home. Since 2016, Janice was asked to perform other friend weddings, so Letmemarryyou Wedding Officiate Services was formed.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with couples from all walks of life. You do not have to have an expensive wedding, with a huge bank roll, to have a memorable event. We do elopements, small intimate weddings, large weddings, weddings that includes children from past marriages, as well as wedding vow renewals, different religious preferences, outside weddings, inside weddings, etc... Recently, we have been contacted by several couples from the LGBT community. Yes, we will show all couples, from any walk of life, the same respect and will offer all couples the same quality wedding. We are not prejudice, nor do we judge!!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Our last wedding was an outdoor wedding. The couple was Hispanic and groom spoke little English. Some of our team lived in Texas for 20 years, so we were familiar with a tradition Mexican Wedding. There was a mixed group at the wedding, so Minister Janice prepared the vows in Spanish and English, so that the Groom would understand the ceremony.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We live in a small town, so we can offer outside and inside venues, at an affordable price. Finding an officiate that works with people from all walks of life and nationality is very important. Our team does not discriminate and that is very important in a small southern town.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Should the couple hire someone to plan their wedding or will they have family and friends do all the planning? Should the couple hire someone to cater their wedding or will they have family and friends do all the catering? What is the total budget (including license, invitations, attire, officiant, venue, food, flowers, cake, photographer, music, honeymoon, etc...)? Does the couple have a venue or will the wedding be an inside or outside wedding? Does the couple need an Wedding Officiant, or will the wedding be ordained by family minister?
