Introduction

Hi! My name is Lisa and I am a wedding coordinator and non-denominational minister and that services the greater Sacramento and Bay Area regions. I am honored to be on the TheKnot's 2022 and 2023 Best of Weddings List in the Sacramento area! As a wedding coordinator/planner, I offer day-of coordinating to help take the stress off of the couple so they can relax and enjoy their day. My team and I make sure that everything is handled so hour day goes smoothly! As an officiant, I marry couples from all backgrounds, faiths, sexual orientations, and beliefs. You can have no mention of religion or as much mention of religion as you desire. I personalize my ceremonies to the couple’s standards. No two custom ceremonies are ever the same! I also offer vow writing assistance and attend rehearsals. I have 5-star reviews here on Thumbtack, as well as The Knot and WeddingWire. I offer discounts for military, first responders and K-12 teachers. I do not perform ceremonies in jails or prisons.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer discounts for military, first responders and K-12 teachers. I do not charged based on the size of the wedding.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A meeting either virtually or in person to discuss the vision for their ceremony and/or wedding.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am ordained through American Marriage Ministries.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Good friends of mine were having trouble finding someone who would marry them. They didn’t want a religious ceremony and are part of the LBGTQ+ community. I saw them struggle and decided to become ordained to marry them. I have been marrying people ever since! I started day-of coordinating shortly thereafter. I love to help couples ensure that everything goes off perfectly during their big day!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with customers of all religions, colors, abilities and sexual orientations.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Meet with them before signing a contract. I insist on meeting all of my couples first prior to them hiring me, either in person or virtually. You need to meet to ensure your personalities click before having that person stand before you on the biggest day of your life.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask about hidden or additional charges, such as travel fees. Also, some officiants charge more for larger weddings. I don’t. My price doesn’t change as my job remains the same whether you have 5 or 500 guests.
