Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My standard officiation services start at $300.00 and the travel fee is $75.00 within 50 miles of the venue. Outside of the 50-mile radius, the travel fee will change. *Please remember that if I am traveling up to 3 hours; please ask about further distances and destination weddings, because the travel fee is $50.00 per 25 miles. It is $100.00 additional for holiday ceremonies. If there is a request for the officiant to be present at the wedding rehearsal, the rehearsal fee is $100.00 and an additional travel fee of $75.00, due to it being a different day for rendering service.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We'll start with a phone, and if needed a 45-minute follow-up Zoom consultation to get acquainted, discuss the details of services to be rendered, and answer any questions. The Agreement and Payment Link will be emailed. Payment for services must be paid in full before your Initial Session. You will receive Onboarding Instructions via email once the Agreement and Payment have been received. All other details regarding these services will be listed in the Agreement.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a former pastor in the Pittsburg, Ca area and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, from A Ray Of Hope Theological Seminary and Bible College. I was ordained in 1997, at the St. Matthews Baptist Church in Livermore, Ca. I have preformed wedding in and outside of the state of California.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
When I was ministering, I would get several request to do various types of services and I enjoyed doing all of them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have traveled to different states in the U.S. and I have provided exceptional service. I have been hired to do couples counselings, weddings, renewal of vows, memorial services for those who have passed on, baby dedications-(blessings), new home or lived-in home blessings, and business blessings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I officiated a wedding on a yacht, as we cruised the San Francisco bay area. The ceremony took place outside on the yacht, with over 200 attending. The wedding took 1 hour, but the cruse took 2 hours. What a great event it was and the couple was pleased with the service.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Speak with different service providers and find one that you feel comfortable working with. Also, get someone that listens to what you want and not what they want. It's your memories that you want to have and to have it YOUR way, for YOUR day.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
* What do YOU want the officiant to wear or does it matter. * Are there any special things, YOU want the officiant to say or do during the ceremony. * What time of day will the ceremony start and is there a certain person the officiant needs to meet with. * Do YOU or don't YOU want the mention of God in the ceremony.
