Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing varies dependent upon service tier and location. Big Sur area requests will increase the fee due to distance. There is a special price for those who have a confidential license and just need to “make it legal”.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A complimentary Consult Call for couples, then a follow-up email with information on services, pricing, and answering questions that may have come up. Once a retainer is received, we start working on the details for the ceremony.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Ordained 10 + years, continuing training through various sources for wedding officiating.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was asked to officiate for a friend. From there word of mouth that I was able to perform weddings caused additional inquiries.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Both local and long-distance couples coming to the Monterey area for an elopement. I've had couples on second marriages, young couples and everything in between. I specialize in short notice elopements and high profile persons needing confidential services.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask questions, there's never a dumb question. If you want to know pricing, get specifics. If you want to know about personalization of services, ask for exactly what you want to ensure it's offered.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What they want their ceremony to “feel” like: romantic, traditional, informal, etc. Ask if your celebrant/officiant is comfortable with that request.
