In the last year I have been paid as much as $500, and as little as 0. But, I still let you decide. I have been conducting weddings since 1979, and seen about everything. Besides creating a fun and exciting event, in preparation for that special wedding day my desire is to unite a couple in the sacrament of marriage, and as the officiant my goal is to be the mirror of the couple’s desires and expectations for their ceremony. I offer premarital counseling as needed and try to make the ceremony stress free. And did I mention having some fun? Not only the traditional ring ceremony but also can include unity candle, sand, jump the broom, and hand fasting. I can explain and define the flow of the ceremony, the rituals, vows, and rings, etc. - adding requests if necessary, and giving the couple a sense of time and space for that event while following their desires. I can assist in the structuring the ceremony and assisting with planning if requested. I am a former United Methodist pastor, ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and I have served United Church of Christ in California as well. I do both religious and non-religious ceremonies. I love spending time with people at the most important times of their lives during weddings and funerals. Colorado has started to tighten restrictions on who may sign a marriage license as an officiant. You can find that list on the state regulations site. As ordained clergy, my signature on your marriage license is authorized by any state.
