Introduction

Hi there future couples! I can do your theme weddings, Christian weddings, same sex weddings, nondenominational weddings, and Pagan handfastings also! If you wish I can dress in costume for your theme. For example Renaissance, Civil War, Fantasy and Faire. Do you want your wedding performed by a cat, or pirate, or fey? I can make that happen. I love writing ceremonies, and helping out couples. I really like seeing happy faces and knowing I helped. I like making things easier on the bride or planner, I am always there on time if not early. I have over 20 years experience and I am polite, prompt, and flexible. My name for legal purposes is Laurie Moore, but I also have a title as Lady Rissa. Its a story, and if you want to hear it, just let me know. I want to make you happy and give you a wedding catered to YOUR wishes. I hope to hear from you soon.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I usually charge 200.00 with a non refundable 100.00 deposit. With gas prices being what they are, if you live an hour or more from me there will be an up-charge of from 50.00 to 75.00.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The customer contacts me, I give them my rates and see if the couple feels comfortable with me. If they decide to go forward with me, I collect a 100.00 non-refundable deposit, and we schedule their consultation. We chat about what kind of wedding/ceremony they want. I seem to be the Queen of non-traditional, last minute, and themed weddings. Then we get more specific and nail the details down. I usually call a week before to see if anything has changed or if there are any more questions they or I need answered.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Ive been a Minister since 2006, and a I was a Justice of The Peace in Middletown, CT for 16 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It sounded like fun, and I enjoy helping people and seeing them happy. When else are people more happy than at their own weddings?

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Oh, I have worked with all types of couples. Ive done all sorts of weddings, in all sorts of places. Ive done weddings that were very quick, very long, funny, sweet, solemn and enjoyed them all. Ive done weddings in BDSM clubs, death metal concerts, lakes, beaches, Renaissance Faires, people's homes and reception halls. It's never dull, and I love it!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone you click or mesh with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about what kind of wedding you want, what kind of a feel you want it to have. Ask as many questions as you want or need to feel you have the right officiant. You should feel comfortable with your choice so it's one less thing for you to deal with.
