I strive to offer fair pricing by considering time, preparation, and travel distance when providing a quote. Given my experience with those who serve, I offer discounts for Military personnel, First Responders, and Educators. Please discuss any special circumstances with me directly.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to meet with the couple, either in person, via telephone, or through Zoom, to learn more about them. I collaborate with them to design a ceremony that aligns with their preferences, requirements, and personalities.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a retired Justice of the Peace (Magistrate Judge). Officiating weddings was part of my responsibilities. Additionally, I worked for a catering company where I set up and served receptions. My professional career has involved numerous aspects of wedding ceremonies and events.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began officiating weddings upon my appointment as Magistrate/Justice of the Peace. I have been involved in various aspects of weddings, including planning and catering, for approximately 35 years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have had the privilege of working with clients from various backgrounds. My experience includes officiating ceremonies in diverse settings and situations. I take pride in having officiated one of the first LGBTQ+ marriages in the State of Delaware.

The duration of a wedding ceremony typically ranges from 10 to 20 minutes, contingent upon the specific type of ceremony selected and any supplementary elements included. These components may consist of readings, musical solos, Unity rituals, Handfasting, Memorial acknowledgements, vow selection, or personalized vows written by the couple.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It is crucial to ensure that you are at ease with your officiant, as this is a significant life event. Effective communication is paramount. Maintain regular contact with your officiant throughout the planning process, clearly articulating your ideas and remaining open to any suggestions that may assist in achieving your vision.

There are no restrictions on the questions you may ask regarding your wedding. It is important to inquire about the process for obtaining a marriage license. Additionally, you should confirm who is eligible to be a legal witness and the number of witnesses required for your state.
