Introduction

I love seeing the faces of my couples just as I am about to pronounce them married. The joy and love are what weddings are all about. The creative process of personalizing your ceremony is priceless to me. Speaking of price, there are many officiants who are less expensive. This is the most important day of your life so talk to a few different officiants in different price ranges to make sure you have a good fit with the person who marries you. I will spend time with you so I can give you a personal and meaningful ceremony. You’ll have memories of this day for the rest of your life and the person who officiates your ceremony will be in many of your photos. My fee ranges from $375 to $450 depending on your location. This is YOUR wedding and you should have nothing but happiness on your day. I hope we have a chance to talk.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My fee is $375 - $450 depending on your location. That is all inclusive of meeting the couple, writing their ceremony, going to the rehearsal, the wedding and filing their marriage license. Fee is payable by cash or check at the rehearsal or ceremony. There are no additional charges or surprises. Everything is included. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold your date.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first meeting is a free consultation to get to know each other. Once the couple decides that they want me to officiate their wedding, I ask a lot of questions so I can write a ceremony based on the information they have given me. We continue to tweak the ceremony by phone, email or in person to make sure the ceremony comes from their heart and reflects their lifestyle. We talk again a month prior to the wedding to review the ceremony make any changes, etc. I will be at the rehearsal if needed and of course the ceremony and will be available by phone or email throughout the entire process to answer any questions or concerns that may come up. This is YOUR wedding. I want you to be comfortable with me and in this process. Don't hesitate to ask any question that comes to mind. I am available to you from the time you hire me to your wedding. I will also file your marriage license via certified mail and let you know when I get the return receipt. I also make a copy of your license just in case you need it before you receive your certified copy from the county.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. I have performed many weddings and I care very much about my couples.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My niece asked me to marry her and her husband. From there, I discovered how joyous it is to help couples in love start their life together.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with many different couples and will work with all types of couples. Some are religious, some not. I will work with any religious beliefs and all couples regardless of sex, religion or color. God doesn't see color, religion or sexual preference but puts people together based on love and without prejudice. I do my best to follow that example.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my favorite weddings was a very intimate affair. Only the bride & groom, 3 family members and the photographer and myself. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with emotion, joy and love.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Take the time to meet with your officiant and get to know them. It is very important that you are comfortable with the person who is going to marry you. This is the biggest day of your life. Make sure you don't have any doubts. Make sure your officiant takes the time to get to know you and understand your beliefs, lifestyle, what you expect for your ceremony and what you envision your future to be. Ask any and all questions of your officiant. Be sure there are no added costs or surprises.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
There are so many questions to ask as anyone planning a wedding knows. I will do my best to answer all of your questions and give you all of the help you need to make your special day perfect.
