Introduction

Hi, I'm Tony Foggia. I've been fortunate to officiate more than 1000 weddings since 2009. I offer ceremonies in Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and English. I'm an early bird and I hold myself to a high standard. I did customer service training in Tokyo. No wedding is too big or too small. It's important for couples to know that wedding officiants cannot generate a marriage license, but we can officiate a marriage license. Thank you!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My fee includes the administration of your marriage license, the wedding ceremony customized by you, a decorative certificate of marriage in your choice of designs, time and travel.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Once I'm contacted through Thumbtack, I like to continue communication with couples through the phone, text or email. I'm available to answer questions and please don't be shy. I often meet with couples either in person or over video chat prior to the day of the ceremony. It's nice to have a short face to face chat before we're standing together at the altar.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In the summer of 2008, while living in Japan, I was ordained by the Universal Life Church in Washington State. For five months I trained by watching other ministers conduct weddings and by performing mock weddings. Upon returning to the USA in 2013 I obtained a Wedding Officiant license by the City of New York and began offering service throughout the metropolitan area. I trained in customer service in Japan.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In 2008 I was a Junior High School teacher in Japan, and I was looking for extra work on the weekends. I loved the job from the moment I started. Every ceremony is a celebration.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Large weddings, small weddings. Weddings in banquet halls, weddings in kitchens, weddings in restaurants, weddings on the beach. I offer service in English, Spanish, Japanese, French and Italian.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There should be some sort of personality connection.
