I became an ordained minister because I want to bring people together. I am non-denominational, so I can customize your ceremony however you would like it. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My base rate is $250, with an extra $50 if I am needed for the rehearsal. If I am traveling outside my normal area, I will charge a fair amount to accommodate my travel costs. The further I have to travel, or if I may need to rent a hotel room, the more the charge will be.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I try to get as much information as possible about you and your fiancé/fiancée. I like to have an email address so I can send sample scripts and so communication is easier. I just want to make your wedding day as special as possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church and have a lot of resources available to me 24/7.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I wanted to help bring people together. Marriage is such a beautiful thing, I wanted to make that a reality for people.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you go with someone who makes you feel comfortable. I tend to try to get a lot of information upfront so I can start early, so if I do seem pushy or eager, and that makes you uncomfortable, please tell me so I can rein it in a bit.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What you really want your wedding to be like. If you want a very religious ceremony, I can do that, but if you have a specific denomination and want certain rites or traditions performed, make sure that someone not affiliated with your faith can perform them.
