Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
You've got a budget; we respect that. Prices at Cherished Memory Weddings are fair and competitive because we agree with you: quality counts & costs matter.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Your time is precious. You have a thousand details to work out. And we want to be as accepting and receptive to your wedding ideas as we can be. We believe every couple is unique, and we work hard not to have any preconceptions about the service or vows. Let's start with 30 minutes as an intro and establish the broad strokes of what you have in mind. We'll go from there until you feel that the ceremony is "Just Right!"

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I grew up in a home that was part Catholic, part Presbyterian, and part Buddhist. I was ordained for the first time in 2005. I've studied and read widely in comparative religions and philosophy. I am a non-denominational, fully trained & ordained officiant.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Thru my ordainment. To me, launching a couple on their way to married life or renewing their vows is an amazing way of "giving back" to my community.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
As the phrase goes, "all sorts of people". We're open to same-sex weddings, non-traditional weddings, you name it! We take each wedding or vows ceremony one at a time.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently I had a young couple that wanted to write their own vows using some of the ceremonies we've collected over the years. These folks liked bits-and-pieces from about 5 ceremonies over several weeks -- and it was such fun to mix-and-match to create a wholly new service.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Because of the long winter in the Inland Northwest, it's best to book your Officiant as soon as you have a date in mind. Also, look for an Officiant who has quality reviews to back their work ---- 100% of our reviews in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 earned the coveted 5-star review status!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Date, time, location, at least an estimate of the number of people who will attend and be involved in the service. That's a pretty good start!
