Introduction

I am an ordained pastor with 30 years of ministry experience, and a compassionate, energetic, upbeat personality. I have had the joy of performing more than 500 weddings in English and Spanish over the years. I have been officiating through Thumbtack.com since March of 2020 and am honored to have been awarded the coveted "Top Pro" status each year. Every ceremony is personal and special to me, and I give my very best to every service I officiate. I have 2 main goals as your wedding officiant: 1) to provide you with a customized ceremony that you and your spouse will love and fondly remember, and 2) for you to relax and enjoy your wedding ceremony as I guide you through the service. You, your fiancé and I will collaborate together to design your personalized ceremony. I can also provide premarital counseling and help with vows. Thank you in advance for considering me as your wedding officiant. Other services I offer include quinceañeras, funeral, burial, baptism, house dedication, and celebration of life ceremonies.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Base price of $300 includes initial consultation; sample wedding ceremony outline that clients can personalize according to their desires; a list of sample wedding vows, special readings and music resources, communication to answer questions and go over the outline; conducting the wedding ceremony, and filing the signed marriage license. Conducting a rehearsal is $150. Premarital counseling services also offered 1 - 4 sessions. $100 per session. $25 Travel fee for services requiring the officiant to travel more than 50 miles or 1 hour to ceremony site.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start by setting up a phone call or video chat, preferably with the bride and groom at the same time. The purpose is for you to get to know me and feel comfortable with me, for me to know your story and be comfortable with you, and to discuss your preferences for your wedding. After the call, I will send you my credentials as proof that I am an ordained Christian minister, a sample ceremony outline with sample vows, readings and music links, a contract so you know my responsibilities, your responsibilities, and the cost which will not change unless further services are agreed upon by both parties. Integrity and trust are extremely important to me!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Masters of Divinity from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL, more than 30 years of ministry experiences, and have officiated more than 350 weddings. While I am blessed to be in high demand and honored to officiate many ceremonies, I strive to make every service personal and special. That's why I take the time to get to know you and your story. I want your ceremony to be meaningful and memorable, and for you not just to be satisfied, but to be thrilled with it!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I felt the call to ministry in college and actually started assisting with weddings when I was 20 years old. Fraternity brothers of mine who were older than me wanted me to hep officiate their weddings! That's how it all started.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Heterosexual couples from just about all walks of life, including bi-racial, multicultural, people with disabilities, couples needing to be married virtually, couples who only speak Spanish, bilingual English/Spanish weddings, people from religious backgrounds, non-religious couples, and more! I am caucasian, an evangelical Christian, and am bilingual in English and Spanish.. My dad is Jewish and my mom is Christian. My wife is Peruvian and Chinese, and comes from an evangelical Catholic background. I have a lot of experience working with people from all sorts of different backgrounds, which I love!
