My name is Tom Clark, I love officiating weddings. I love getting to know each couple each bride, each groom. I may officiate, rest assured this is your ceremony. We’ll talk about your desires and the ceremony you want and that is the ceremony you will have. You can book me months in advance or you can book me at the last minute. I do not need or want any deposit or down payment, unless you really feel the need I don’t deal with written contracts, and one we’ve agreed for me to officiate for you, that entire day is yours on my calendar.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Any fee I initially quote is an estimate. Though it is an estimate, it is the maximum you’ll pay. I do not require any deposit and no payment is due until the ceremony.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to discuss what type of ceremony the couple would like to ensure I can perform the service. Then I like to confirm details such as if the ceremony will be civil or religious? Traditional or contemporary? Do they wish to write their own vows? Then I develop the ceremony to fit the desires and requirements of the couple.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My daughter and son-in-law asked me to officiate their wedding. That feeling of joy, elation and satisfaction was almost overwhelming. The knowledge and feeling of helping people struck a chord. It was then I decided to offer my services for people who need help getting the service I provide.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with many types of people. I’ve, of course worked with men and women. Each and every one has been a true delight to work with and for. Many weddings have been at homes. Some in parks. Some were already married and having a ceremony to include friends and relatives. I’ve performed a same sex marriage with two grooms and right now I’m working on another same sex ceremony. There have been various racial and ethnic participants. I look forward to learning more diverse traditions and performing their ceremonies.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they are not only able, but willing to perform the ceremony you’d like.
