We're happy to "meet' with you via Zoom or Skype in place of an in person meeting if you wish. If your re-scheduled wedding day lands on a day when I'm committed to another couple - my wife is also a Wedding Officiant! Additionally, we have other truly trusted professionals (who love weddings as much as we do) who can serve as well. We've got back up! If your wedding gets postponed, but you still want to have a "tiny wedding" on your original date, I'm happy to come to your home and maintain safe social distancing according to local regulations while officiating an intimate ceremony for you. If your wedding gets postponed to a date when none of us is available to serve you, we will fully refund any deposit you have paid to us. - - - - - - - - - I believe that officiating a wedding is a unique privilege. I especially enjoy getting acquainted with the "Nearly-Weds" so I can understand not only their preferences for the ceremony, but also their personalities. I love it when wedding guests tell me it sounded like I'd known the couple for years. I love the challenge of crafting a ceremony that reflects just the right balance of respect, sentiment, and humor for a couple. Meeting nearly-weds and hearing of their heartfelt love for one another delights me and regularly reminds me of the brilliant diversity of souls in this universe. Short of birthing babies, what could be more fun?!

As a veteran teacher, I like helping people and making a difference in the lives of others. Being married 10 years myself, I believe in the importance of commitment with a life-long partner. Thinking back to my on wedding, I remember what made that day so special and want to help others have the same experience. Additionally, I worked part-time as a wedding manager at a large venue in downtown Boston, helping several hundred couples have a memorable wedding day. From small and intimate to large and elaborate, I would like to help make your day special and customized to your wants and needs.

I love the rituals and moments that help usher in new chapters in our lives and relationships. I love to take time with folks to craft custom ceremonies that honor the past, present, and future of your relationship and family structure. I gladly specialize in working with the following communities: LGBTQIA+, Neuro- Divergent, Blended Family, Multi-Faith, Celebrity/ High Profile, Destination, Nature-based/Woods/Beach, Irish, Christian, Polyamorous/Non-Monogamous, Kinky, Leather, Nerdy. I am glad to work with people on a ceremony for a quick elopement or a multi-hundred person wedding event. I am an ordained minister (a Dr. and A Rev.) in a progressive Christian denomination. That said, I officiate many ceremonies that are not inherently religious. But, I use my deep respect for the profound connection in your relationship and extensive experience curating connective moments for gathered community to create a transcendent experience for you and your guests. I am authorized to perform legal wedding ceremonies in MA and in other states as well (with a bit of advanced notice, so that I can register in that state). As a wedding officiant who is also an ordained interfaith minister, I work with couples of all faiths and beliefs, to design and perform wedding ceremonies that can be either spiritual, religious, humanistic-secular, nature-based, or other themes, including mixed-faith relationships - whatever the couple experiences as true for themselves. Your wedding ceremony can be very elegant and elaborate, or very simple, or anywhere in between depending on your wishes. The actual content of the ceremony comes from our discussions. My services as a wedding officiant include the following: - Initial introductory conversation and ceremony overview - In-depth initial meeting with couple to discuss wedding logistics, details of ceremony, personal faith and beliefs, the joys and challenges of your relationship, marriage beliefs and goals. - Design and creation of ceremony. - Completion and mailing of your marriage license - Performing ceremony Apart from wedding preparation and officiating, I offer premarital assessment and counseling for couples to address special issues and challenges, or, if no specific challenges. KI offer preventative experiential education workshops on topics including mindfulness and awareness, communication and conflict resolution, finding individual and couple purpose, and navigating life changes. My fee range for wedding preparation and officiating is $325 - $425, depending on the time, travel, and complexity involved. I officiate weddings all over New England and eastern NY State during the months May-October, and in North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee during the months November-April. 50% deposit is required at time of signing of written agreement which spells out all commitments by me and you.
