Introduction

As an ordained interfaith/interspiritual minister, I specialize in creating customized wedding and memorial services. I believe that the common language across all faith traditions and religions is love and work with my clients to create the most personal experience.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My base fee covers creation and delivery of a customized ceremony within a 50 mile radius of New Haven. Three meetings/three drafts and a final ceremony are included! Additional fees include travel outside the 50 mile radius, travel to New York/Mass/RI and/or attendance at a rehearsel. After meeting with you, I will provide a final contract price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I encourage my potential clients to book an exploratory call with me! Let's see if we are a fit by getting more information about what you are looking for in your ceremony, how I view the wedding ceremony and anything else to help you make your decision.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I attended a two year interfaith/interspritual (spiritual but not religious) seminary in New York, One Spirit Seminary. At the end of the two year program, which included studying all the major faith traditions, designing my life of service as a minister and all the things about ceremonies, I was ordained in June, 2019. I continued on to complete another two programs at One Spirit, Companions in Care and Interspiritual Counseling to continue my training in spiritual direction.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It may sound cliche, but becoming a minister was a calling. I was raised Catholic, and have spent a good part of my life searching, defining my own spirituality. My journey has been so profound, I love companioning others down that path.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Love is Love! All couples are welcome! I have worked with couples that consider themselves spiritual but not religious; I have also worked with interfaith jewish and christian couples. Many of my couples also have no spiritual practice, so we focus on Love! I have also performed vow renewal ceremonies.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I love every wedding! My most recent favorite was actually an elopement of a lovely couple, both on their second marriage. They also decided to have me perform the ceremony in my office, which made it all the more special.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Meet your officiant before you decide. The ceremony is all about the couple being married, and should reflect your wishes!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What does the ceremony mean to you? Why have you decided to have a ceremony, potentially in front of many friends and family? Would you like a more traditional ceremony, a very unique and custom experience, and are their any specific parts of the ceremony you would want to include, perhaps that you have experienced at other weddings.
