Introduction

“How long have you known the bride & groom? Since college?” We hear that pretty often! I (or we) will meet with both of you - by phone or in person - to create a very personal, unique ceremony that expresses your commitment and shines light on the things that brought you together - and with a joyful sense of humor! As a Non-Denominational minister for over 25 years, I've performed weddings in a variety of venues: a speedboat, backyards, river boats, country clubs, parks, the Renaissance Festival, farms, and churches. My background also includes: professional musician, published novelist and screenwriter, on-air personality in Minneapolis radio, and the prayer and healing communities of Wooddale Church, & currently, The House Church. My wife Susan is also a Non-Denominational minister, with years of experience in prayer & healing ministry (including Wooddale Church and The House Church), and is often involved in the ceremonies as a joyful presence, as well as officiating ceremonies of her own in her uniquely loving & personable manner. She’s a true gem! Let's talk soon - Susan and/or I are always happy to talk with you about The Big Day! 🎉😄❤️ Also available for baptisms and funerals/memorial services, and premarital and marital counseling.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing ranges from $200-$250 + $50 for each 30 minutes of drive time over one hour ($25 each direction.) Discounts for active & non-active members of the military and first responders.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
******************************************************************************************* - some Biblical, some poetic. You are welcome to choose something else if you’d like! At some time, let me know what readings (people choose 1-3 different ones) and vows you’d like - and give me some notes about how & when you met, your activities, wha makes you laugh, etc. - and I’ll make a story from that to incorporate into your ceremony - often improvised to be most personable (I have a history of performing in theatre, music & broadcasting, often with no script!) **************************************************************************, so any last-minute changes would be made immediately. Meanwhile, if you decide to hire me, I ask for payment as soon as comfortable for you, via e-payment (I use most all of them). In this way, I’m legally bound to you for your date & time; no contract ever needed in my 26 years of officiating. Please understand that my schedule fills in quickly; refunds only available within 3 days of payment. Thanks & Blessings to you both!! - 🙏

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Many officiants/ministers say they got “The Call.” I literally got a phone call from my church, asking me to become an outreach minister!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Many cultures, families; all customers are unique.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I’m fond of all of the ceremonies I’ve officiated!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
***************************************************** Phone calls are best; hear the voice, listen to your heart.
