I make my wedding ceremonies especially the way my clients would like them to be. I add a personal touch to make the ceremony special and unique. I am very creative and a great speaker. I am a retired schoolteacher and I love creative writing and public speaking. I am happy to share wedding ceremony samples and ideas with my clients so they can choose what they want to include in their special and unique wedding ceremony. I really care about the couples wedding ceremony and their marriage. I want everyone to be relaxed and happy on their wedding day. I love sharing the word of God with others. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My standard price for writing your marriage ceremony, performing your marriage and turning in your marriage license to the office of Deeds is. $250. This includes a meeting before the wedding ceremony with the bride and groom to plan the wedding ceremony. There is an additional $75 fee for the wedding rehearsal. A $50 travel fee may be charged if more driving time is over an hour in each direction.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to talk with the new couple so I can get to know the couple and what their wedding ceremony expectations are. I will send wedding ceremonony samples and ideas so the bride and groom can choose what they want to include in their special and unique wedding ceremony. I like to write the ceremony after talking with the couple so they can make sure the ceremony is what they want for their wedding day. The couples wedding ceremony should be the way they have always dreamed it would be! It is a good idea to also have a wedding rehearsal to make sure everyone involved in the ceremony is comfortable. A wedding rehearsal is very important to ensure everything goes smoothly on the wedding day.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Middle Level Education. I have currently completed a wedding planner certificate class. I have officiated many weddings over the last nine years. I have been a schoolteacher for 40 years and I love public speaking and creative writing. I love making each wedding ceremony special and unique just the way the bride and groom would love it to be. Your wedding day will always be a day you will remember.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was not planning on becoming a wedding, Minister. I helped our son and daughter in law plan their January wedding at the beach in 2014. I helped them write their ceremony and everyone loved it. It included a wine toast as part of the scripture reading about Jesus's first miracle turning water into wine. The next thing I knew friends and family started asking me to be their wedding officiant. Lart year I officiated 55 weddings.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I love all types of wedding venues. I will officiate weddings of all religious types. I love outdoor weddings and making the wedding ceremony special. Beach weddings are my specialty. I love to include special readings, poems and Bible Scripture in my wedding ceremonies. I also perform sand ceremonies, wine ceremonies, candle ceremonies, the knot ceremony and many more.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am very proud of all the weddings I have officiated. They are all very special and I could not pick a favorite. Being a wedding Minister has been a blessing to my life and I have enjoyed meeting so many loving couples. It has helped me to understand more deeply the true meaning of making a commitment to each other through the sacrament of marriage.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the person you are hiring is ordained. Ask to see their proof of ordination. Make sure the wedding officiant includes the rehearsal and transportation in the price they quote you. Make sure the officiant allows you to choose what you want to include in your wedding ceremony. Make sure your officiant allows you to review the ceremony and it is what you expect.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I am very organized, responsible and caring. I work with my clients to make sure their wedding day is just the way they have always dreamed it would be. I always meet the needs of my clients and I realize that making the Bride and Groom happy is of the utmost of importance. Your wedding day should be stress free and a day that you will always remember as one of the happiest days of your life.
