I offer quick and easy officiant services. If you don’t want to wait months to be married by a magistrate at the courthouse, I can help. I am an ordained minister with Spirit of Love Ministry based in Charlotte, NC. I keep things simple but I also try to make it a memorable moment for the couple. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $170 for the ceremony and $30 for travel related costs so in total it is $200

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Normally, I will check your IDs to verify your age and identity. Then I have a basic, quick script that I use to confirm both parties intention to marry (the I do's), ring exchange (if desired) and the pronouncement of marriage. Then I sign your marriage license and the copy for vital records, along with the two witnesses.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an ordained minister in NC and able to officiate in SC as well.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I wanted to get married but couldn’t find a courthouse with availability and didn’t want to pay lots of money for a normal wedding officiant. Thankfully, I had a friend that was an ordained minister and he offered to marry me and my wife. I realized there was a need for such a service, and I wanted to pass on the love and help other people who are in a similar situation.

Couples that want to get married and don't want to wait for a magistrate to become available.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you want a formal ceremony or something really meaningful, you might want to look elsewhere. What I offer is more laid back but just as effective at getting that all important signature on your marriage license!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

First and foremost, make sure you have your marriage license or will get it before the wedding. Secondly, make sure to secure two witnesses that can be there. Third, decide where and when you want to have the ceremony. Fourth, decide if you want to exchange rings or not, say your own vows or not, or have any other preferences for the script, dress, code, etc.
