My name is Lynne Newman. I am a Wedding Officiant, Spiritual Counselor and Healer. The hallmark of my work is loving kindness and compassion and the ability to see beyond the surface. Spiritual Counseling, Guided Imagery personalized for each client, and Reiki healing sessions which are powerful, and I am grateful when people feel safe and supported in our work together. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing varies depending on travel distance to and from venue and whether or not I need to be at rehearsal, and if pre-marriage counseling is requested. In general I have a fee schedule, and yet work on sliding scale if it is in the best interest of client and myself.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After initial contact I like to connect by phone and then schedule time to meet in person. We usually arrange a meeting time in order to plan a wedding, or create an initial plan for helping the client to resolve the issues that are keeping them from joy.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Master's degree Humanistic Counseling and Psychology Reiki Master Teacher Certificate

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My love for helping people led me to explore many modalities for the different issues and personalities of those I work with. I incorporate hands-on healing with counseling, guided imagery, music, and other modalities in order to help people achieve the wellness they're seeking

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with couples of all kinds, and with couples or individuals who come for counseling before the wedding. I work with people who have issues of mind, body, spirit and emotions as we do healing treatments and counseling.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I created a Women's Circle of Light where women came together bi-weekly to discuss issues in their lives that are common to so many. We respectfully listened to each other, and provided support when difficult times came. Through music and sharing of poetry and articles that inspired us, we all grew. My first Circle last ten years, then another six years, and the last one was for a year. It was an enriching gift for all of us, and an honor to facilitate these groups.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I advise people to trust their instincts when seeking to hire a provider. I also suggest that they interview several professionals before deciding on a counselor or healer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Clients should identify what the issue is that they need help with, and ask for that help. Together, we work to create the outcome for them, whether it is a wedding or other ceremony, counseling to help clarify and resolve issues that prevent them from feeling fully engage with life, or guided imagery created just for the individual.
