After determining the type of wedding ceremony you and your partner want, Why Knot Wed will provide a pricing estimate based on that, along with other relevant factors.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Upon receiving your request, we will discuss the details of your wedding, including the location, time, and style of wedding you envision. Why Knot Wed customizes each wedding to reflect the unique preferences of each couple. Since no two people are alike, no two weddings can be the same. At Why Knot Wed, we recognize that this is your special day, and we are dedicated to making it unforgettable for you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Having been married for over a decade, I am still deeply in love with my wife and would gladly marry her every single day if I could. I understand how special a wedding is, which is why I became an officiant: to celebrate the love and commitment that two people share and wish to uphold for the rest of their lives.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

After I became an officiant and married my nephew, I discovered my passion for officiating weddings. I wanted to continue spreading happiness to couples, so I created Why Knot Wed. It is extraordinary to witness the love two people share on their wedding day and to know that I was a part of their journey as they began their lives together.

What types of customers have you worked with?

At Why Knot Wed, we unite all those who are in love. We offer traditional and LGBTQ+ and vow renewal ceremonies.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Why Knot Wed ceremonies are conducted at the couple's request. We offer ceremonies that range from an intimate apartment setting to large-scale events.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The most important thing is to be comfortable with your officiant. This is your special day—a memorable occasion that lasts forever.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

When booking an officiant, ensure you have the essential information ready. This includes your marriage license or the date you will obtain it (which must be at least 24 hours before your wedding). You should also provide the location, and time of the ceremony, and have a witness present (they must be 18 years or older). Why Knot Wed will offer you a selection of ceremony scripts that reflect your relationship, but you are welcome to write your vows if you prefer.
