Introduction

I seek to make sure your special day and ceremony is everything you want it to be. You will get final approval and the option to edit the script any way you desire. I enjoy working with the engaged couple and their families in making their wedding ceremony everything they want it to be. The best part of this job is seeing the smiling faces during and after the ceremony. As of June 1, 2025, I’ve done over 155 weddings. They have all gone well.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I generally charge the quoted fee and that includes the script, a rehearsal if you want one (and I recommend you do) and the wedding ceremony. I live in Mentor so travel time and mileage can increase my cost on far away weddings. PLEASE NOTE: the money I raise goes to a charity, specifically the Police Unity Tour, a 300 mile bicycle ride that honors fallen officers.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After submitting the quote and being hired, I ask a series of questions from which I prepare a sample wedding script for your review. You can add or take away anything you like because this is your ceremony and I want you to be happy with it. After we get the script worked out, if there is a rehearsal, I'll be there to make sure all is ready for the actual ceremony. On the day of the wedding I will be there an hour early to take care of signing the marriage certificate and any last minute questions that might arise.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was ordained about 11 years ago and have done over 125 weddings. I was ordained over the Internet at the request of a friend and did her wedding. I enjoyed it so much I've continued performing ceremonies all over northern Ohio and in Michigan.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I am a former Assistant US Attorney and a friend asked me to do her wedding. I got ordained on the Internet and had a great time. Now that I'm retired I have time to do more weddings.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with couples getting married for the first time, older couples who are going into their second marriage and same sex marriages. I’ve also done renewal ceremonies. I'll officiate just about any type marriage ceremony and enjoy working with a variety of individuals.
