Introduction

I am Heather - a NYC- and /Newport RI registered minister, fully vaccinated, who can happily officiate your ceremony. Weddings must be in person. Flat Fee of $1000. It includes both a process review pre-call or Zoom session and the ceremony itself. The wedding party will already have the license and any administrative fees required by the Clerk. You need to have the license at least 24 hours in advance of the marriage vows as per NY law. No waiting period in RI. You have up to 60 days after you get the license to get married. I will tailor the ceremony for your special day and am honored to be included on your memorable event. Thank you!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

$300 Flat fee for a Manhattan-based wedding plus RT Uber costs and a process discussion. Payable in full at the time of booking. No refunds yet happy to switch the date with at least 24 hours notice to a mutually available time. No services outside Manhattan or the Bronx at present due to the coronavirus.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to hear about clients wishes. Your wedding is yours to design. Short and sweet. Or comprehensive practices. Do you have your own vows? Language preferences? Please let me know. We will aim to have it happen.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a registered officiant with NYC and believe that love is love and I support both non-religious or non-denominational ceremonies.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was asked by friends to officiate their ceremony and found the moments are happy, wonderful and inspiring - I am honored to be a part of your special day.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Any adult couples who have been given a license through a New York clerk's office.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I married a couple with an intimate gathering of friends and family. It’s everything to be together in good health.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You should work with an officiant that gives you what you desire on your special day. It should be as stress-free as possible.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

When would you like to get married? Do you have a NY license? Do you have a witness 18 yo or older in NY at the time of the ceremony? Do you have rings? Will you write your own vows or would you like the basic "I dos"? Do you have good wifi service? That is all you need! - and each other. xx
