Hi friends. Thanks so much for spending your precious time learning more about me as the potential Pastor for your wedding. I am an ordained/licensed Pastor & have officiated over 1600 weddings, and I keep a journal/diary of every one. We will work together to make your wedding ceremony the very best possible. I am flexible, creative, with a good sense of humor, & strive for excellence throughout this exciting process. I have officiated weddings of all sizes & at various locations. I have also shared in some great "vow renewal" ceremonies. I do have sample ceremonies if needed as well. I certainly love seeing the wedding couple, family, & friends, basking in those special moments that will become lifetime memories. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is a suggested price. ($125 for wedding - $200 for wedding & rehearsal) Sometimes couples can pay a little more or little less. I consider my time with you as a very valuable ministry and promise to do my best to honor your desires while also honoring my calling as a Pastor. It is a privilege serving you as your officiant. Due to many cancellations in the last few months, I'm asking for $50 non-refundable deposit. I wish I didn't have to do that, but time spent on unfulfilled ceremonies, and blocking dates that are ultimately not filled, can be quite costly. Thank you for this consideration.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, I will be contacted or make contact with a couple by phone. We can then exchange more details about their desires for the ceremony. I will email several sample ceremonies to the prospective bride/groom so they can look over possibilities to make their service the best for their needs. Sometimes, the couple already has their service planned out and that is fine as well.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I do attend weddings on a fairly regular basis as an invited guest and observe the unique ways different ministers officiate those weddings. I am currently employed as a Pastor and serve in my church every Sunday and throughout the week. I do sing if that might be something you would like to include in your ceremony.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I feel God has "called" me into a ministry of loving Him by loving His most valued creation . . . you.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with around 300 couples, of all ages, over the past 30+ years. Here are my steps with every couple: 1. Getting acquainted with bride/groom 2. Designing an appropriate ceremony 3. Being available for ?'s as ur day arrives 4. Wedding rehearsal (if necessary) 5. Officiating the wedding - The BIG DAY! 6. Finishing things up by filing the license.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Interestingly enough, the last few weddings I have done have been at very interesting locations: Sunrise Park (James Island), Hampton Park Gazebo (Charleston), Charleston Southern University's Lightsey Chapel Pond (N. Charleston), and Riverfront Park Pineapple Fountain (Charleston). These are just a few examples as well as churches and chapels in the Charleston area.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find a wedding officiate who will craft the wedding service to your needs and desires. There are many options which can be blended to meet your specific wants and vision of your wedding.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is important for the minister to be personable and flexible so as to make this day your special day . . . the most special day . . . ever!!!
