Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My standard pricing of $225.00 is all inclusive up to 50 miles roundtrip.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Once deposit is received, I work with each couple to write their ceremony with all the elements that they want included. I am available for phone, text and video chats at no extra charge during the time leading up to the wedding. The ceremony is sent to the couple to be approved before the wedding date.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a ordained minister and have worked with individuals and couples for over 25 years. I am a speaker, mindset coach, minister and retreat facilitator that loves working with people. My goal is to make your wedding day exactly the way that you want it!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started this work when I was pastoring full time in the Seattle area. I enjoy people. Once I moved to Tennessee, I finally had a job that was Monday - Friday, so I could finally open my officiant business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all types of people, young, old, all different types of faiths or no belief at all. I work with all people regardless of their sexuality or gender identity. My goal is simply to make your wedding day special for you and yours.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Each event is special, I do though have a recent wedding where the groom wrote a special message to his parents and asked me to deliver it. I took his text and corrected the grammar and tweaked certain sentences to flow better, getting his acceptance of the finished product. During the wedding, when I read it for him, there was not a dry eye in the house and it was a special moment.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Have a phone conversation prior to hiring and make see if you connect to their voice, tone of voice etc. Ask if they book back to back weddings, as this can be stressful for a bride if the wedding starts late. Ask if they have any hidden charges and what the dollar amount includes. Don't assume, and don't be afraid to communicate what you need.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Helpful things to know ahead of time is having your venue booked, so we can know the travel time and distance. Knowing whether you are going to need the officiant at the rehearsal is important as this may change your total price.
