Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Let's arrange a phone call! My prices reflect YOUR WORTH without being too expensive. I charge $299 unless you have a simple elopement in Johnson City which would be $199. $299 is for larger weddings and specific customizations, coordinations, script writing, assisting with attaining your license, questions, everything. Consultations are ALWAYS free. Officiants prices usually fluctuate but you can feel confident that you are making the better choice in the professionalism, punctuality, comfort, and responsiveness that you can rely on.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I ask the bride and groom a set of important questions that will pertain to what I'm going to say throughout the ceremony. Examples will be, (Will your father be there and is he giving you away?) I Ask how you like to be pronounced, ex: husband and wife, or Mr. and Mrs... There are about ten to fifteen important questions I have to ask before I begin writing the ceremony. I customize write it and email it to you for your review until you have the best script you want.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Government officiant registration, Tennessee Notary Public, county registration, and writing creative ceremony scripts.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My grandmother told me to do this every since I was a child. It first starts with being registered in your home state, officiating for friends and family but now I genuinely enjoy organizing, creative writing, and officiating weddings. Then, you begin to enjoy a work and life balance that creates an atmosphere that the bride and groom can relax once booking me. It's not just hiring the right officiant, it's BEING the right officiant.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Non denominational, lightly religious, heavily religious, young and older crowds, Christians, LGBTQ friendly, and simply some really interestingly fun people.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I've enjoyed every marriage and elopement that I've officiated. I enjoy the special pictures we try to get for every couple and am on many recommended vendor lists. I enjoy having the crowd have a great time and to laugh at each wedding. I have three calendars and try to keep in touch with my couples often. People cancel, get sick, it rains, but I'll be here for you, rain, sleet, snow, or shine.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My advice would be to make sure to speak with the officiant. You'll want specific things to have your wedding memorable. It's a better experience when you don't have a robot officiating your wedding.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
To think with their hearts and as well as their brains. Gut feelings are real!! Also, read up on their reviews! I tell my couples to stalk away. I'm on almost every wedding platform!
