Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Introductory pricing begins at $179. Total pricing will vary depending on the type of ceremony needed, custom scripts, and travel.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Initial Consultation: The process often begins with an initial consultation, where I get to know the couple, learn about their backgrounds, and discuss their expectations and preferences for the ceremony. Customization of the Ceremony: I will work with the couple to customize the ceremony script. This involves selecting readings, vows, and rituals that reflect the couple's values and preferences. Legal Requirements: I will discuss legal requirements involving obtaining the necessary licenses or ensuring that the ceremony meets legal standards.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a certified ordained minister in the state of Texas. I am entitled to perform all ministerial services, including marriages, funerals, baptisms, and all other privileges and considerations usually granted to a minister.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been married for over 38 years and still believe in the sanctity of traditional marriage. I became a wedding officiant because I have the desire to help couples celebrate their love and provide a meaningful and personal touch to the wedding ceremony.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have married many couples from diverse backgrounds and performed rituals such as, unity candle, sand ceremony, cord ceremony, coin ceremony, and broom jumping.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I performed a Medieval-Themed wedding for a couple who traveled to Texas to have their destination wedding at Castle Waterford in Royce City, TX. This venue was the perfect setting for their wedding, complete with llamas, dressing areas for Lords and Ladies, and the complete ambiance for a King and Queen.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for an Officiant with whom you feel a personal connection. The officiant should understand your values, beliefs, and preferences to create a ceremony that reflects your relationship.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should know the ceremony style they want (traditional, religious, non-religious, or customized). If they need help with vows or they will write their own. Are there specific cultural elements they want to be included (unity candle, cord ceremony, sand pouring, etc.) Make the Officiant aware of any specific requirements or restrictions prior to the ceremony.
