What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I try to stay as low as possible, yet competitive with my peers. My peers charge travel fees, consultation fees, fees for vows, fees for consultation. We can chat, we can pray, we can negotiate. I will stay as close to $200 as I can. Tips are always welcomed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I'll introduce myself and my services, check to see if counseling or understanding is needed then explain the ceremony and perform it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA in Pastoral Counseling with a minor in Theology. I have worked fulltime in ministry up until 10 years ago when I took a secular job to support my family. I am an ordained minister, but volunteer my services mostly these days with prison ministry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

As a minister weddings, baptisms, and funerals are a part of life, after taking on a secular job my wife and I found we weren't quite making ends meet after Covid-19, so I began this officiant service.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Entertainers, convicts, bikers, Christians, Pagans, rich, and poor. We all find our soul mates.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Most weddings only take an hour or 2, but I have enjoyed beach weddings, back yard weddings and late night weddings. Recently a local entertainer wanted to get married on a certain date and my wife and I rushed over at 11:45 pm and performed the ceremony asap.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask question, get a bid, feel comfortable with who you hire.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Who, what, when, where, and why? Do I really understand marriage and relationships? Are our colors and venue really our dream? Can I wake up with my fiance for the rest of my life and feel at peace?
