Introduction

I am the Senior Pastor/Bishop of River of Life Outreach Ministry, nondenominational in faith and based in Fort Worth Texas. All of my services are biblical based. I believe in what the bible said about marriage, it is between a man and a woman. To make this event most memorable, I meet with the couple to get their desires and thoughts for this special occasion, offer special services and draft a ceremony for their review, that meets their desires. I do request that I am allowed to come to the rehearsal so all will know what is expected and flow with your desires. I do have expenses and time involved, which allows your cost for my services, to be totally up to you. My services are customized to your needs yet biblical. "God never charged for helping or blessing anyone and neither do I". My fees are negotiable, but I usually received "up to" 350.00 as a gift for a marriage ceremony. This amount would be totally up to you. I would only want you to pay the amount that you felt reasonable. Thumbtack requires an amount to be posted but this amount is just for the posting. Most of all, I enjoy meeting and visiting with people, laughing and having a fun time and being able to be a part of such an important time of their lives. Further, I will always have a "back up" pastor to assist should anything ever happen, your plans will always "go as planned". A copy of your most treasured vows can be sent to you (upon your request) after the ceremony that would be suitable for framing.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I do not charge for doing God's work, I dont feel it's biblical. To make this event most memorable I meet with the couple about 3 times, offer special services and draft a ceremony that meets their desires. In doing this, I have expenses and time so I ask that all are honest and trustworthy of both your time and mine. People give me gifts of monatary value but I would never charge. If you don't want to pay for my service that would be totally up to you. The monatary gifts I have received have been from 50.00 to 500.00. I do not border for God's work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I always suggest to meet the couple a few times before the wedding. I want to get to know them so I might customize their service so it will be a moment to remember. The service is formed to the need of the couple whether it is the location, time, indoor or out or whatever. I am there to serve them, have fun as long as it's serving them and God. Most importantly, I want to pray three times at a ceremony. First, I pray over the couple, asking God to bless and anoint their lives as one and their foot steps for this new journey. Second, I open the ceramony with prayer and third, I close the ceramony in prayer. I'm not concerned of the religion or denomination I just want God to bless them as a couple and bless their lives and their journey in their future.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have worked in a church atmosphere most of my adult life. I received my ordination about 8 years ago under Si'on Ministries. Since, I have established River of Life Outreach Ministry, located in Forth Worth, Texas where I am the Founding Bishop/Senior Pastor. I have since formed two other campuses (Cleburne and Fort Worth Texas) to further serve God.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I had often been told i was called to be a Pastor. As a young man I was raised in church answering the call of sunday school teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Pastor, Pastor, Senior Pastor and now Bishop. As part of doing God's calling, marriage is only one of your responsibilities. When you enter into Pastoral role, you enter into it for one reason and that is to help others and in doing so, you will be serving God. This job isn't always easy but it is rewarding. The friends and fellowships are seldom forgotten.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all walks of life. In my ministry I assist homeless, broken, poor and wealthy. I enjoy helping those that are in need. Some need to be married and some need food, shelter and sometimes "just someone to talk to". There are different avenues in being a Pastor. Not all are easy but with God's help, I will do my best.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I have enjoyed all of ceramonies I have done but the most unique was the one conducted in Fort Worth Harley dealership, Fort Worth, Texas on New Years day. We all dressed in our leathers and had a great time. I was proud to know there had never been a wedding conducted in Fort Worth Harley before. This service lasted about 15 minutes. I enjoy doing things Godly first and foremost, but enjoy adding that "Little Twist" of request that makes your ceramony the "Best Ever".

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The professional you are seeking, what are they offering you the customer? Are they wanting to assist in the customers needs or are they just wanting to make some money? Will they listen to the customers request, work with them to make this event special. Will or would they work in a "every day" ceremony or would they listen to the couple and build a custom ceremony around both future husband amd wife.... I will do my best to make precious memories of this day. I will always have a "back up" pastor available should I not be able to make it should an emergency arise.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What needs do the customers have and can the needs be met in a professional and Godly manor. Is this person offering services for the needs of the customer, or the love and compassion of doing God's work or for the money they receive. What happens if plans are made and the Pastor (at the last minute) can't or dosen't show up? God has never asked for money or goods for his working. Offerings were often given, but never expected.
