Introduction

The ceremonies I provide are not cookie cutter types. Each ceremony is customized to the couples' wishes, religious and non-religious. I also offer to include family traditions and specific requests of each client. My fee includes travel, samples, editing, phone consult, performing ceremony, filing license. The only addition would be a venue parking fee or rehearsal fee. I love being able to provide couples with a ceremony that is meaningful to them. Try to help couples start their new life together with meaning. I do not require any classes or commitments to a specific religious group. I am a religious and spiritual person but do not press my views onto my clients.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My fee is all inclusive!! The only add on would be for parking, rehearsal or holiday fee. Most weddings are priced at $200 within 60 miles of my location. Most of the time I am not needed at the rehearsal, but if requested an additional $60 fee. I'm available most holidays/holiday weekends at an additional $50 fee.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Through email and phone or skype conversation I get specifics such as type of ceremony, special additions i.e. including children, mentioning loved ones passed, unity (candle, sand, wine), lover's knot, etc. I provide sample ceremonies for review and then customized. A draft is sent to the couple for review and editing prior to wedding day. Typically we'll not meet until the wedding or rehearsal but I'm available to meet before if requested.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I've not only performed many ceremonies but have many years of experience in public speaking and dealing with people which provides me with skills needed to provide a meaningful ceremony specific to your wishes.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Many couples were telling of difficulties getting married in specific churches. Also I wanted to offer something more personal than going to the Justice of the Peace courtroom to get married. Performing ceremonies brings me much joy and I try to reduce the stress so couples can enjoy their special occasion.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with customers form all walks of life. Various cultures, ethnic and religious backgrounds. From the private and small ceremonies to large events of over 200. Location is not an issue, I've performed ceremonies in parks, homes, the beach, restaurants, hotels, venues, a deer lease off a dirt road, etc. My goal is to provide the type of ceremony each couple desires and to be prompt, professional, and caring.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Choose a wedding minister/officiant who can customize the ceremony specifically for you. Your wedding is so important and the start of a new journey. Look for a caring, professional demeanor and an individual who listens to your questions and wishes. Lastly make sure the fee quoted covers all your needs, some will add travel fees to the quote.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
When do we pay and what payment type accepted. What time will you arrive? What types of ceremonies do you perform i.e. civil, commitment, religious, non-religious? Can prayer and/or religion be included or excluded in ceremonies if requested? Do you perform same sex marriages? Do you file the license for us? Are there additional fees for starting late or last minute cancellations?
