Introduction

My name is Ash, and I have had the privilege of officiating weddings since 2013. It would be an honor to play a role in your special day. I was ordained by the Universal Life Church when marriage equality was established in Utah, allowing me to officiate for couples who were finally able to celebrate their love legally. This experience ignited my passion for helping to create memorable moments for others. As both a member and ally of the LGBTQ+ community, I firmly believe that love is love. Having grown up in Utah, I have been involved in numerous weddings and aspire to make officiating a full-time endeavor. Over the years, I have discovered the joy of making each couple’s day truly extraordinary. Thank you for considering me to help make your wedding day magical. I am available for consultations from 4 PM to 11 PM during the week, and I can accommodate other times with advance notice.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My base price is $150 for Salt Lake County, $175 if travel outside of Salt Lake County.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I would like to meet with the couple a few weeks prior to the wedding to get an idea of who you are and what you would like included in your ceremony. I have a general outline/script that is used, but will customize it to meet the happy couple's needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have officiated for several weddings and have modified my process based on experience and feedback from these weddings.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When Utah legalized marriage equality, I wanted to be able to help with officiating for the happy couples. Once I started doing this, I realized how much joy it brought me to help two people share their love with one another.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I love working with folks of all backgrounds, orientation, gender, age, race, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I was able to officiate for a siblings wedding which was absolutely amazing. Because I knew the couple intimately, I was able to really cater to them and their relationship.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure to meet with your officiant beforehand. We want to make sure we are a good fit for you so that your big day can be perfect, or as close to perfect as you can get.

What tone would you like for your ceremony? Are you writing your own vows?
