Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer a special for elopements Monday through Thursday for only $100. I also offer many packages which can be viewed on my website. I am confident that I have a package that can fit into any clients budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I prefer to have at least a phone conversation to get an idea of what they need from me and what it is that I am able to do. A lot of my customers like elopements or small services. That is my niche and I love to bring their vision to fruition.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am certified by Penn Foster and ABC (association of Bridal consultants). I have been granted the rights to officiate weddings through Chesterfield Court system. You can look on my website for documents. I am also a "Top Pro" here on Thumbtack and "Couples Choice" on Wedding Wire for the 2018 season. Please check out my reviews and see why!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started by doing events for my friends and family. I have always received a great response from them. Therefore, I decided to take a course and become a certified wedding and event planner. I realized that you can no longer go to the courthouse and get married anymore. Many couples still like the intimacy of smaller weddings and that was in demand. Therefore, I then petition the courts to become an officiant in 2016.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all types of customers. I have a clientele of same sex couples, couples who practice different religious beliefs, and also couples from different age brackets.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I make a habit of personalizing my customers services to fit them. I had a customer who had a child from a previous relationship. I met with her and her now husband and they express the want to do something special for the child (who was 9 years old) during the ceremony. I came up with a joint vow that they all said and their was not a dry eye in the audience. That was a very proud moment for me. I received a great review from her and they are all still living a beautiful life in the state of Texas now.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
You can have a memorable day without having a big budget. Think about what matters to you the most and make sure that is what the focus is. Do not get caught up with the glitz and glamour if that is not what you want. The memories is what matter!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about the key elements, the must haves for that day. Remember, the more guess you have, the more money you would have to spend. Rule of thumb is, you will spend about $100 per guest at a wedding.
