Introduction

My goal as a wedding officiant is simple and straightforward: to ensure that the couple's ceremonial expectations are met according to their preferences without fail! To determine if I could fulfill your expectations, I always recommend arranging a time to meet and discuss the specifics of your wedding such as the ceremony overview, location, vows, special arrangements, and other important details. As an experienced officiant, I can offer assistance by presenting a variety of standard ceremonies which we can customize to ensure that your ceremony is unique and personalized. The services I provide include attending and running the rehearsal, officiating the ceremony, incorporating any customization requests, paperwork signing and mailing, unlimited consultations, and pre-marital counseling. I hope to hear from you! DISCOUNT INFO: For couples looking to elope, discounts are available with the average price being around $125. This typically includes performing the "bare minimum" ceremony to make the marriage legal, and meeting at a location in/around Richmond. Additional fees may apply if more traveling is required or elaborate options are preferred.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Unlike other officiants, I simplify the process by having a standard fee that is all inclusive. When hired, I offer a flat rate that includes un-limited consultations, the rehearsal, ceremony, customization requests, travel costs, signing and mailing of paperwork, and pre-marital counseling (optional.)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I first like to arrange meeting in person (preferably), by phone, or via skype/facetime so that we can meet one another and discuss the specifics of their wedding day. The goal is to develop a clear understanding of what they expect for their ceremony and from their officiant.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I'm a minister and over the years have developed a system to make sure we cover all the bases like the procession, vows, ring exchange, etc. Experience is the most valuable asset in this line of work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I preach and teach regularly at a local assembly and marriage is an ever-present topic. I wanted to officiate weddings to meet couples and be part of their special day as they continue in their life-long journey together.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All sorts! Whether they want a religious, non-denominational, or civil ceremony, I pride myself in accommodating to their preferences and special requests while also being mindful of their families and wedding guests.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Every wedding ceremony is different, but after being involved in several I've started to see similarities with special requests. As an experienced officiant, I can offer suggestions on how we approach each request to ensure the ceremony flows and aligns to the couples wishes.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The officiant is such a big part of the wedding! My advice would be to pay attention to experience and reviews. Find someone who is credible, trustworthy, and a good communicator.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before meeting with a potential officiant, couples should consider how they want their ceremony to stand out. What do they want to be included or not included? Which family and friends will be involved? Would they like to have special arrangements like a sand ceremony, unity candle, or other symbolic illustration in their ceremony?
